I have seen several posts for people who have gotten TXU electric off of their reports. How did you accomplish this? I have been disputing it, but it always comes back verified. It is only for 224.00, but shows as a paid charge off. I moved in Oct. 2001, but I got a letter from the CA for TXU in Feb saying if I paid up, it would not be reported to the bureaus. I paid, but I did not realize they meant the CA would not report, not TXU. TXu is refusing to remove the paid charge off, the CA kept their word and removed their listing. I really want them off asap. Please help.
I would like to know as well. DH's report shows TXU chargeoff of $800 + from 11-2000. The problem is we MOVED 8-2000. Sent them proof that we left the state (letter from landlord) and the STILL verify! Go figure. Maybe we should all sue TXU!!!!
TXU shows me as having a PAID/CHARGE OFF and im actually paying on it monthly!!! they say they wont change it. something needs to be done, but I'm not sure what.
I have a paid charge off from TXU too - $92.00. That makes four POed, anti TXU customers on the board so far... Maybe we could get together and form an "I hate TXU" club...lol. BTW I disputed with CRA and got one of their listings dropped from my wife's experian. That is 1 out of 6 disputes that worked. Try disputing more than once. If we can get enough people who hate TXU all together, then we could coordinate efforts. Ie, all dispute at the same time and overwhelm the b@stards with letters to respond to...wouldn't that be a hoot.
