Hi all... I pay my gas bill every month. Somewhere along the line, I underpaid by $30. Bill never went to collections but they've reported me 30 days late - first ding in over 5 years! Does anyone have experience with UGI? I requested a courtesy removal and they refused. This just tanked my scores.
Not sure about what you could try off hand when a 'courtesy' request fails. (From my own experience with them they don't know the meaning of the word, which brings us to the root of the problem.) How far up the chain of command did you make the 'courtesy' request? Sometimes the farther up you go, the more willing companys go to be generous. Another option is to try complaining to the BBB? This usually goes to the highest levels of management, and they may be more willing to be generous, since if they appear to be too unreasonable in their handling of it, it goes on their permante record? Yet another option could be to file a complaint with the state utility commission.
