My dad is one of those Old World typs: Hard Work is the Best Medicine, Keep Your Nose to the Grind Stone, Take the Bull by the Horns etc. He's retired military, 14 years--enlisted, because he's a WORKING MAN. The type that believes life is what you make of it and if something happens, he trusts that he powers that be will do right by him. That has always happened in the military. Well he decided to finally take advantage of the low interest rates and refi the house. Then the lady from Washington Mutual tells him about some derogs on his credit report! Uh oh! This is a man that doesn't even use the ATM machine! He would be even Amex's worst nightmare because he'd send them a check to pay in full before they even printed the statement! So now that someone/something has maligned him--he takes it personally--he's out for blood. He said the WaMu lady couldn't give him a copy of the "special" report. Bull, it's just a 3-in-1 triple merged report and I told him he could order one over the internet. He's going to pay the bank a visit tomorrow. The best I can tell is that there are some other people's mortgages on his reports. These people have similar names to my dad.
