Hi, Wondering if there is an easier way to buy insurance for the car I own in the USA.

I have a home in the USA but I am resident in the UK.

I also have a car in the USA.

I am currently buying 6 months insurance each time I visit the USA and only driving my car for the 2 weeks holiday then coming home at most I'll get 2 holidays in this 6 months of insurance and it seems like a complete waste of money, mainly because it's so expensive to insure the car with a UK licence.

I've been driving in the USa for 10 years but the insurance never goes down due to my UK drivers Licence.

I thought about getting a USA drivers Licence but it seems a Florida licence is only good during your visa, as soon as you leave the country and the visa expires so does the drivers licence.

I'm hoping to find a UK insurance comapny who will cover me for the USA but this doesn't seem to be available.

    Regards

    Jim
