Umbrella bnk ok w/bad ChexSystems

    I tried the Umbrella Bank of DaveLV's...they approved me for a savings account but nothing else...so I tried checking and they declined b/c of ChexSystems..apparently my old bank must have put something on there (I hate BankOne)

    anyway if someone out there has a bad ChexSystems you should be able to get a savings account there...I almost accepted it...higher interest rate than my IngDirect account! that's sad

    now I can have fun fixing my ChexSystems report...at least I get it for free <sigh>

    I thought Umbrella bank was a soft EX pull only?

    My wife got turned down from umbrella bank so we ordered her chexsystem report and it is clean. I cannot figure this out. It had like a ton of inquiries on it(9 of them from her employer during her hiring process). Could that be a negative?

    It was for me. I also was declined for a checking account due to a bad check I haven't paid.

    For those who have gotten their ChexSystem reports, how long does it usually take? I ordered mine on the 16th and it hasn't come yet...

    experian is 630 with one $83 collection and 1 charged off paid cc from 1998
