    tzank 643 -- b'bye
    markman 605 -- 2k
    bailey 708 -- 2k
    Dave 703 -- 5k

The model they are using might be reverse engineered to some degree if one knew what was actually on each of these reports.

Eg, Tzank, do you have any PRs, COs, etc?

I have a BK from 1997. So, this bank is not BK friendly.

    Hello,

Can someone please answer this for me?
It has been found to be a soft inquiry to acquire a credit card relation by opening a checking account, but once you have the card and the overdraft protection- is this info then reported to the major 3, or is it in fact hidden..?

    Would really like to know

    TIA!!!

    Peace & Love

100% free. I didn't see any strings and I read over the disclosures pretty well.

    On my Experian report:

Tax Lien - State of California (unpaid) $5,939 balance. 10/1998
Repo - Ford Motor Credit (unpaid) $8,540 balance. 9/1998
Charge-Off MBNA $0 balance (sold to another lender) 11/1996

    And 20 positive accounts.

I just applied and got approved for the UmbrellaAir card with the 9.9% interest rate with a $5000 cl. I declined the overdraft protection - I noticed it is a $25 yearly fee just for having the overdraft protection.

My CE score as of yesterday was 697 with 2 negative accounts and 27 positives. The 2 negatives are a 30 day on on account from 4 years ago and a 90 day on an account from 6 1/2 years ago.

I was just comparing the UmbrellaAIR Visa rewards program with the Capital One MilesOne rewards. The Umbrella card carries the same fixed APR but the rewards program blows the Capital One card out of the water. No annual fee and you earn the flight rewards much faster.

Eventually being able to upgrade my Capital One card to the MilesOne card had been a credit goal of mine. I don't think I'd be interested in it any longer.

I just applied for hubby not sure of his score, but it's posted below. He was approved for checking and debit thing, but nothing else.

I was approved a 500 overdraft protection and $2000 CL classic card. I don't have any negatives on my Experian credit report, but my balances to credit limit ratio is high, 666 is CE score

Did you all notice the $25/year fee for having the overdraft protection?

In comparison to WaMu that is virtually free! Very few people realize this, but the (acknowledged) WaMu business model is to appeal to moderate to low income households (by offering free checking) who are likely to be overdrawn, to offer them overdraft limits, but to charge them $21 per item. So you have 5 charges at the corner store on your WaMu debit card before you realize you are overlimit, for a total of $5.83, except you also owe another $105 in overdraft charges to these scum. They would make tony soprano blush.

Appealing to the most destitute and ripping them off through excessive late charges is actually WaMu's *business model*. They are proud of it. They brag to wall street.

In comparison UB are virtual saints.

I do not understand. I was approved for checking,
debit card, UmbrellaAir Plat 9.9/5K, Home Equity
Loan (amt to be determined) but NO Overdraft
Protection! My score is low. I just got Lowes,
Chase Continental Air, BoA US Airways so my CE
is down to 645. I really just wanted checking with
OD protection. I will call them and withdraw my application.

I call customer service again and the rep tells me that it takes like a week or so for the credit card customer service to see the account being there... then I ask the rep on the approved screen after you click I accept on the additonal products there is no submit button anywhere the rep saids thats right you can just close the web page and we have the info on our systems over here... have anyone else got this kind of run around.... please post your results after you send in your intial deposit... good luck to all....

When I called to withdraw my app I asked about
their credit card. No one is approved, even if you
check the box according to the rep I spoke to. They
pull a soft inquiry from checking/ATM. Credit cards
take 2-4 weeks to process and a hard inquiry and
probably more information will be needed ie income etc...I said I am so glad I withdrew. I am sorry I did not post sooner.

    Hello Big H,

Thank You for finding out the info for me and us.... that is a very misleading approved status screen that shows then cause accroding to the approval they already screen your credit report and they already approve you for the additional products this is bad..... let me know who else got different answers from the reps....

    Thx,

    Kev
