This is the message I received from Experian in a 4 page information that I recieved in the mail? The first page starts out by saying that they have provided information so that I can understand my CORRECTION summary then in the same page it says they were unable to process my request? Page 2 has there name address etc.. Page three is the "correction summary" and under "items we investigated" it has nothing there is not account info no updated status no info at all it then states at the bottom of this page that if there is no information there response appeared on the previous page (unable to process request) what in the world is this? This is tells me nothing at all they just wasted paper by sending my this. I disputed this account by mail should I now try the SAME dispute through the online process? If I do wont this start the 30 day rule all over again? What should be my next step wait the initial 30 days from the first time I disputed this account and disregard this stall tactic? Any help you can provide I would really appreciate. Thanks in advance
I got a similar response from them awhile back. When I looked closely, I noticed that I had left one digit out of the account number... So the jerks said they could not investigate... I sent them another sarcastic dispute with the correct account number which I checked several times to make sure it exactly matched the credit report before I mailed it. Check to make sure you transcribed the creditor's names and account numbers exactly as it appears on your report. You know the people reading the letters aren't the brightest lamps in the furniture store...you have to get everything exactly correct or it they don't know what to do....
To tell you the truth the letter that they sent says NOTHING no account number no OC name nothing so there would be no telling what account they were unable to process. I am going to dispute online this time that way there is NO mis-understanding even though I really think the CRA are lazy and try to make it as hard as possible for people to fix the errors that are on our reports. They make you jump through hoops and then come back with some crazy stuff so you have do do MORE work.
