Can a creditor do this? My husband turned in his leased vehicle last month and we received a bill for damages to the car. In the letter is stated if the amount was not paid within ten days they would set up an installment plans for it authomatically. However, the bill sent us is a credit card bill. It has one transaction which is end of lease billing. Is is charging interest on ADB, has a credit card account number and does not have a fixed number of payment. My question basically is - is this a valid way to set up an installment account?

Yes, we know there were damages and are willing to pay when they verify the bill. They just sent a bill with no information just an amount and they did not apply the security deposit. Our lawyer is handling this issue.
