Re: Unbelievable! Amex Blue, lower So, other than GEORGE and me, no one dares to step up to the plate? Call Amex and see what they can do for you! Worst case scenario: you keep what you already have. You may now be eligible for lower APR on your Blue, Optima Platinum or Costco Cash Rebate. Saar
Re: Unbelievable! Amex Blue, lower I "stepped up to the plate" and struck out. "Ma'am, the rates that Amex sets are non-negoiable, our marketing dept. will review the accounts and if they are eligible for a lower rate we will send you the information to contact us." Can, you say "George factor"? I questioned her on the possibility of my rate going down eventually, she said it is based on a credit score. She wouldn't release the amount of score or any other factors. I asked about credit line increases, she said it was based on income and credit bureau report. Well, my 0% interest ends next month. I won't be using my Blue card anymore.
Re: Unbelievable! Amex Blue, lower Given the responses others got, you can try a different approach. Call, get for a supervisor, ask them up front about the new Customer Level Pricing (CLP). That is the name of the new rate reduction initiative, and I'm positive they didn't design it just for Mark LA, or even for Saar It's for millions of Amex cardmembers. Saar
