Now they want what they think I have. I've been reading everything here, it looks like another round of stating each paragraph is too vague to answer except what about the personal stuff under the Requests for Admissions? Who was the OC? Where are y o being sued? I won a case with U several years back. Everyone said that it would not go well for me, but I won the case to the tune of 30K. (I mean I got the case dismissed with prejudice) It was my first case and from the mediator to the lawyers they all tried to intimidate me, and telling me I should settle as I was going to have to pay more when we went to court. It really was something. There I was never having done this sort of thing before,and after many sessions, I won. : ) I was so proud ! Woofer

It was about 3 1/2 years ago. They never validated, just kept saying they owned the debt. I attacked the assignment, and it was all a go from there. There was a poster on another board *Tower Rat*that went back to Europe ?but he helped me SO much. I would never have won without him and several others. Good Luck Woofer
I can't figure out how to see the documents they are using. Is there a reason for that other than I'm Dumb? I'd like to read the complaint and your answer but I'm not sure where that is. I know, you put a "www." in front. For my next trick, I'll shoot a satellite down from the middle of the ocean in a rough chop. They are asking for what they need to win. If you don't answer the admissions, people don't, they are admitted. This basically means they win. 1. Is it OK in your court rules to include admissions as part of another document of stuff? Sometimes courts don't like that because it can be used to hide the admissions, which are a special thing intended to narrow the case but which are often used to trick pro se defendants. 2. What are the rules in your court as to what you can legimately deny in admissions? I mean, consider that you are being sued for crashing into the back of someone's car. If you get an admission that says, "Admit that you are at fault for the wreck, you rat bastard", do you have to admit to it or otherwise will you be sanctioned by the court if you lose at trial (or summary judgment)? I think this is a very important thing for you to find the right answer out for. 3. Have your readied your discovery against the other side? Everything in the kitchen sink they've dumped in your lap, you can dump right back at them. It won't change what is in your lap, but it might mess up their suit. 4. I hope you are regularly at your local law library reading about what to do because that's how you formulate a real plan, not by completely buying anything you get from online yahoos.
Updated page The original papers and reply are now posted on the site. The description of how to put the url in was mostly for the person who was asking who the OC was.... Chase is stamped all over the page so I figured he missed it. ;-) I agree they're asking for what they need to win but I don't want to give them any more ammo than I have to. We have a couple of weeks before the response is due, I think I may involve a prepaid legal plan. And turn their Interrogatories back at them. I'm not sure if there's a law library with 40 miles of here, hence why a legal plan may come into play. The irony is that after losing $50,000 a year in income due to two chronic illnesses, we have never done bankruptcy no matter how bad it got, including selling our house to beat foreclosure by inches. I sure would hate to do it now that we're climbing out of that hole... but I will if they keep pushing. Anyway thanks for ALL input from anybody!
I suggested you find out what the rules in your court are for admissions, and what you can and cannot deny without risking sanctions. I suggested that you find out if including admissions as part of a larger document is OK in your court. If it's not, you might consider possibly reading the case law on this and seeing if you can use it to object. But that will just buy you time. That might not be a bad thing because you are behind with them handing you the discovery first. I would do that quickly but carefully. Use everything you've got. There's probably something at your court, some states require this. A full library is nice. Access to Shepards and Westlaw is a good idea. See if you can find your state's caselaw free somewhere on the net. If there are any colleges near you, see if they have legal Lexis and if they will allow community access. You've got to make this happen. Turn over every single stone, see what's underneath. They seem to be asking for a sane 5% on this. That's a rate that if held to in a judgment can be paid back with effort. I don't know what your state's rules are on this, of course.

I keep putting it in address bar and google and keep getting a "no documents" message I would like to see this stuff, I am being sued by a law firm for a cc debt and I found this site too late...they already have me in a bind with summons/court date and my understanding is the interrogatories come next after they win the judgement against me I am not trying to hijack this thread, just want to read the dos you have thanks

thanks man, good luck to you too...I know what you are going through and it sucks.... I wish I had something to offer, but I am trying to figure out what to do here as this comes up for the court date
