I tried to access my report TU online a few weeks ago and it came back and stated my report access was blocked--order by another method--Well, I ordered my report by snail mail and told them to take the lock off after they confirmed who I was----I received my report by snail mail(it had errors) so I tried to access my report online again using the exact information that was on the report and again I got the dreaded message--your access is blocked(locked). I called the number that was on the screen which is the same number that is in the credit report, spoke with a total of 3 employees and non of them had a clue of what to do--they kept telling me to call the nember on the screen--I told them their number was the number that was coming out on the screen Has anybody gone thru this and if so, what is the remedy?? Thanks--Appreciate the help--
sorry, hasnt gone through it....but i am facing the same situation, so i would be interested in the outcome. thanks
Re: Unlocking Trans Union CR Access I am convinced that this has something to do with whether or not you fill in your previous address. The problem is that the web site says something like, "Previous address if less than 2 years ago". Those who leave it blank who DO have a previous address listed on their TU reports -- even if that address was used MORE than 2 years ago -- seem to end up with a locked online file. Try this: don't leave that blank, and see what happens. Doc
Re: Unlocking Trans Union CR Access I moved in April and don't fill in the previous address field. I'm not locked out. Maybe I'm doing something different.
Re: Unlocking Trans Union CR Access Here's what I have learned--I received my paper report and I tried online access(exact info as paper report) was still locked out--E-mail to customer service at Trans Union--they cannot take the lock off for 30 days--they cannot do it manually--I guess I'll just have to wait--this is what I was told--
They did the same thing to me, locking me out when I meticulously followed the directions...I'm waiting for my snail mail reply as we speak, so you're a step ahead of me! Good luck, keep us advised.
