What is the procedure, if you have SEVERAL unpaid medical collections on your credit report. There was some past illness, and insurance didn't pay the entire amounts. I can't afford to pay all the medicals.

What options do I have- any recommendations. I mean, 80% of my report is medical, ambulance, hospital.

Offer settlement of about 50% on each item.

Do not send payment with some note that if the cash the check, blah blah blah....

Send them a settlement letter, state what you are willing to pay, and require them to remove the TL from your credit reports. When they return it to you signed, then send them a cashiers check or a money order.

Never send a CA a Personal Check.
