On TU all of my business Construction term loans tradelines read " Unrated or BK " Is this negative? I would think that anybody reading my tradelines would think I may have filed BK. All these notes were paid on time and the balances paid off on time. I was just surprised to see this tradeline. Does it need to be disputed?

I'll bump that one because I noticed the same tradeline on my TU report pulled through Privacy Guard.

I have an old account (mortgage) that was paid in full, never late, all other CRAs report it closed\paid as agreed and only TU has the 'unrated or BK' tradeline.

    What gives?

I pulled a 3 in one thru eloan back in oct 02.
It had a tradeline also listed as unrated or bk.
This was a loan that never was. Some car dealer wanted to slam dunk me into a car loan that I never signed for 6 years ago and it was only reported to TU
as open and closed in the same month and year.
When I pulled my actual TU report it didn't read like that . It reads, paid as agreed. I disputed it as not mine afew months ago but it "remained". I thought
I should just leave it alone since there's nothing in the TU report about bk and I've never been in a bk.

    Bump again.

I too have about 4 credit lines that are listed as "unrated" but they were never late, paid as agreed; but old accounts (last activity 1996). Is it that once 7 years pass, any old tradelines, even good ones, go to "unrated" status at TU ?

Had 1 account deleted...showed unrated status with bk notation. When it came off, FICO jumped almost 40 points. Thought unrated didnt hurt, but apparently it does if it shows on neg section of tu report. Cant gove info about other reports...this is the only one that had this unrated status and this account. If you pull your tu (real tu report, not wk), does it show up in the neg section? If it does, then it DOES hurt.

There was nothing on my report about bk either. This was the only acct that had the bk/unrated notation. Applied for credit and was denied because of bk. SO...even though it isnt in public records part, some creditors and automatic approval systems will still pick up bk and may deny credit.

It is on my TU report and not in the neg. sect. so does this still hurt my score? The accounts aren't all that old 97,98,99,00, so should I try and dispute just the tradelines. There's about 10 accounts. I stopped doing business with this bank because they gave me a new loan officer, who I couldn't stand. Long story short this loan officer is now president of this bank, ( Just my kind of LUCK! ) so I don't think they will be cooperative about this. I have all the paperwork though. But I just have a feeling that the entire accounts will get deleted and not just the TL's and that will bite. Maybe I could dispute 1 or 2 accounts and see what happens. What do you think?

Not sure if you agree, but I would contact the business first. Maybe some rep will take them off. What is the date these were last reported? If it has been a while, you are risking deletion by disputing them. Also, if they havent been reported in a while, your info may have been erased, since they are 0 balances. Best advice if you decide to dispute as "paid as agreed" is to just do 1 to see what happens. If you call, say "Im calling about a bankruptcy notation that is appearing on this account on my credit report. Can you explain that please? This account was paid as agreed and no bk was filed"
Let them do all the talking until you find out why.

Thanks four20nik-- I think I will try to see if I can get some clerk to talk to me about the accounts. As long as they don't transfer me to a v.p. it might work. No harm in trying. If I don't get anywhere, I'll dispute 1 account and see what effect that has with TU if it the TL gets changed or the ACCT. deleted. I guess some of this credit repair is trial and error.

Hee hee, if you did have to talk to the vp and it got heated, you could make a claim that they are harrassing you and willfully causing you to have this stuff put on your report, lol. These accounts were paid as agreed. They are reported as unrated or bk. False reporting, if you want to talk semantics. False reporting that is intentional because the the-loan officer/now-vp doesnt get along with you is more grounds for malicious intent or something of the sort. Far fetched, but fun to think about, lol.

Good luck and post your results of the conversation/dispute(s)
