CAN A CREDITOR AUDIT THE PAYROLL DEPARTMENT OF THE COMPANY YOU WORK FOR, AND WHAT WOULD THE PURPOSE OF THAT BE?

I'm not an attorney but I can't imagine a CA doing this without a court order.

    Best regards,

i think you need to explain a little better.

You work for ABC and have a CC w/XYZ...out of the blue XYZ audits ABC's payroll dept? The whole department or just you?

LOL! that is why i asked for specifics silly! you asked if a creditor can audit the payroll department - you didn't state specifically what you meant by that!

Doubt it. Maybe if you were filing BK on a creditor, trying to escape child support or something, and they suspected you were concealing your income, they probably could, with an order from the judge.

    Hiding$ LB?

there is not a company in the world that would allow their payroll dept. be audited by a *outsider* without a court order. the info is way too sensitive. if someone wants to know how much you make all they have to do is ask for your w2's or copies of tax returns for the last two years, or 30 days of pay stubs.
