Good news on my Equifax file. I got all my American Express (4 or 5) and the two First USA inquiries deleted from my file by the local bureau here. I'm utterly shocked!!! All I can say to you all is to DISPUTE DISPUTE DISPUTE! After a while, you will get the point through to the CRA that you mean business! Good luck!
I've tried four or five times to get a 5 year old paid collection account removed via dispute. Each time it came back verified. Yesterday, I received the results of the 6th attempt. The CA was deleted! Still had a year or so to go but, for whatever reason, EFX removed it. Persistence pays !!
That it does! Next stop, TRANSUNION (Bastards!). I hope I can get some more inquiries off Equifax. I still have 22 with the deletions. Citibank did a double inquiry. One on the 13th of August, and another on the 20th! I'll have to see what I can do.
