Hello There, I just called and talk with Juniper... the customer service rep told me that no my account apr is not going to raise unless there is a default or late payments... the change of terms was send out to every single cardholder according to the rep... and the phrasing on the change of terms did not specifiy that only if you go into default or late your apr will be raise well anyways I told the rep at 16.99% apr is actually really high and the rep told me sorry nothing we can do to lower it and I don't show any offers for you at this time however do check from time to time... I notice that they are giving better rates to new cardholders if they were to apply for it right now on their website... anyways hope this info is helpful I will find out if this is indeed an error or just a bluff in july's statement.. I will keep you guys posted... Thx, Kev
kevin, I'm sorry to hear that they raised your apr of your Juniper Card. I had Juniper Visa with $500 CL and they closed my account because I have high revolving balances. By the way, they pulled soft inquiry on my Experian report and they found excuse to close the account. I don't miss the card and I have plenty of cards to use. Today my brother called to ask for lower apr for his Juniper Platinum MC and they told me that we didn't negoiate apr. I told him to dump Juniper because the card has no rewards and the card is not even low rate compared to other cards that he has. Kevin, now they raised the rate of the account and later they may close your account like me. I sugguest to close the account and stay away from them. I heard a lot of people complained about Juniper Bank. It is worth of our business. For your credit history, you can have a lot of better cards than them like Citi,Bank Of America, MBNA etc.... Ron.
