I got another letter from them today, as I opened it I heard the sounds of cash registers.LOL
I called my lawyer, he said he has read my paperwork a million times and is still beside himself with the knowledge I have (I almost burst out and said well it's really Marie, LHK, lizardking, Doc and my other creditnet buddies) I figured he'd get scared and drop the case...lol.
So I have another appointment tomorrow to go over the details and it gets even better.
When I bought my truck 1/17, Collectech wasn't reporting and the dealer said my score was a 718, I called the dealer today and asked for a copy of that score, at first he said no and I explained the whole situation and he agreed to send it to me. My TU score is now a 623(?).
A friend of mine is a mortgage person (can't think of the word) and she said the difference in interest rate could be anywhere from 2-5% depending if I paid for it before BUYING a house. She is going to write a letter explaining this and what the difference in the total interest payments would be on a $130K house (the avg. of my area).
I have had a denial from EACH report, (Cha-ching) and I have also printed a few FDCPA staff opinion letters to help my case.
IVE GOT THEM!!! And I will be changing my sig. line to say "so Collectech can PAY for my house!"
BTW I'm also going after hem for attorneys fees (33%).
    I'm on cloud NINE!!!
    Thank you creditnet!!!!

You mean they are still trying to collect the debt without validating???

    MORONS!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHa.

That's an open and shut FDCPA violation and you know they haven't put "in dispute" on the report while validating... and now that they can't validat they should remove the trade line and all inquiries they put on your report...

remember inquiries hurt you too because they're coded collection and the software picks up on it...

I have said it before... and I'll do it one more time. When you know your rights this stuff can not only be a part time hobby.. but a part time job :_)

    Ok Heres the lawyer update....
He wants me to find out the difference in interest rates I would pay on a mortgage, with this on there and with it NOT on there. He is suing for violations (at $1000 a piece he calculated AT LEAST 13 violations) he is also going after attorneys fees as well as damages (the mortgage rate difference). Now even though I have not APPLIED for a mortgage, it is still considered damages because I was "shopping" for a house and this has ruined my efforts.
He also said instead of applying for a NEW CC, he wants me to apply for a specific amount on one of my current cards, so that way we have an EXACT amount instead of an estimate of what I MAY have gotten.
    Side note-
He said he has sued MANY CA's and none of them have EVER gone to court. He said by far this should be the easiest case, as well as open and shut. My out of pocket fees are $200 for him to send a demand letter and file in federal court if they ignore the demand, either way I get that $200 back, unless we lose miserably, but I wont.
So he said he is demanding $500K (cha-ching) and I told him I would settle for no less than $250K. He said with all the proof I have he won't settle for less than $500K, lets hope he's true to his word. He's also going after the anguish I have experienced.
Thank you Marie for steering me in the right direction! As well as everyone at creditnet for the support and encouragement.

    That's great news.

Maybe you could use any extra settlement money and start a CA and buy our debts. I'd pay full price for deletion :)

    Congrats!
