What are the odds.... I have a student loan in which the company automatically debits my account every month so that I make sure I make my payments on time. Unfortunately when my debit card expired I failed to update my new debit card information. I have updated the information and the company has received the payments but my CR is showing a 60 late payment is there any hope of the company removing the late payments from my credit report because of my oversight???? Probably wishful thinking huh?
I have found student loans to be far more forgiving then any other debt. I would contact them via phone first, tell them exactly what you told us. If they say no, follow up by mail.
