    Hi,
I am very new to credit cards, reports and history.
I have established my credit history exactly 10 months ago.
And from then onwards, every now and then I am applying for new cards, some denied and I got some (I have 3 presently).
When I applied recently, the one of the two reasons is that I have maxed out one credit card (Yes, I did and I paid that card at the end of the cycle, and they did not update the report). Why, card companies do send updates when the balances are high and why not when they are paid.
Is there anyway that I can ask the card company to update the reports.
Now I have to wait for 6 months and see to it that I donâ??t utilize any card more than 30% at any point of time and then only apply again.
    Thank you
    Ganesh.
P.S: I like this board very much!!!

    What is utilization!

    Hi,
Just now I have received a CL increase from 1000 to 3000. My doubt is what is utilization, is it in comparision with the total available creidit or it depends on individual CLs and their utilizations. On one card I have very high utilization, 85% (low apr), but if the balance in relation with total available credit, the uitlization is 37%.
    Which one is considered?.
    Thank you
    Ganesh
