Hi Everyone! Question: Should I upgrade my regular AMEX green to the new AMEX Green Rewards card? Has anyone done it. I think I'd like the annual year end statement and double MR points. Any thoughts?..(especially Dogman?) Thanks,
an Amex retention rep told me to keep the original green. the MRs you earn on the regular green is at a 1:1 the Green MR card earns 2x points.. but seems to redeem at a 2:1 ratio. So it seemed like you earned nothing extra. Check it out to make sure I understood him correctly.. but it seems like a shell game.
I called to ask about upgrade from Gold to Rewards Gold and they said they would pull a hard, so I decided against it.
I upgraded to Rewards Green & have received double the points for gasoline,groceries,cell phone pymts,& drug store usage(which is what I've always my Amex for). My points always show double for each dollar charged & it has not affected my redemption negatively as we speak. Sister Girl
Hi Rick - if you do not have a BK on record, then APPLY. Yes, they will pull a HARD INQ - for the same card you have now with a higher fee - $110! later - dogman
