thanks a lot!!! to everyone here for posting..... ie: roni, momof3, sam, george, etc...and all others

im looking to upgrade the chase gold to the regular chase platinum....i was told by the rep that that have to do a hard inquiry and change account numbers if approved...is it easy to qualify?
    thanks...

AS FAR AS I KNOW...credit card companies can make their own rules...(NOT LAW)...they can UPGRADE without a credit report if they want to!!!

JUST ASK IF THEY CAN UPGRADE WITHOUT ONE...say something like PULLING A CREDIT REPORT HURTS F.I.C.O. SCORE, SO DO IT WITHOUT ONE OR JUST DON'T DO IT!!!

If your limit with Chase is already $5K why bother with upgrading to Platinum unless there are extra "perks" for Platinum status like lower APR etc. Don't risk a hard inquiry just for the difference between Gold and Platinum.

    Just my 2 cents,
