Well after waiting patiently for my Quantum card to arrive...I decided to call MBNA. They stated that the upgrade never happened because they do not offer a Fidelity Investments Quantum Card (which is a lie....unless they discontinued it). How do you think I learned about the card? I was sent an offer to apply in the mail.....that's why! Oh well.....maybe I'll call back and investigate further another time but not now.....especially after I was on hold for 10 years! :-(

I'm on hold now....I called the 800 you gave me. I didn't even give them any info on my Platinum Plus account but she knew all my info! She said it comes up with your phone number. Crazy.... I'm still on hold. The rep acted stupid like she didn't know about a *Fidelity Investments* Quantum card.......but knew about a regular Quantum card! Oh brother....she back on the phone...said she's going to call another department... Back on hold now.....
O.k. so here's the bottom line: The rep said that there IS a Fidelity Quantum card (DUH!) but you have to be solicited for it. You can't just call and apply or request to be upgraded to it. She said to wait for another offer to come. Whatever... Furthermore.....she said that I could upgrade to a regular Quantum card if I liked but then I would loose the Fidelity affiliation. At this point, I'm not even sure what the Fidelity affiliation is even doing for me....I don't know what the difference is between a Fidelity card and a regular card. Oh boy....I better do some research.
That is just the card they gave me....... I don't have ANY investments with them that I know of... I didn't get anything in the mail. All I did was a PFB...NOTHING HAPPENED...so I faxed a letter to my REGIONAL OFFICE... and the "OFFICE OF THE VICE PRESIDENT" called me NOT EVEN 30-40 min. later!!!
Wow...so you have a Fidelity Investments Quantum card but have no affiliation with Fidelity Investments what so ever? Wow....what's up with that? I just did some checking and there is NO DIFFERENCE between the Fidelity Platinum Plus/Quantum card and a regular Platinum Plus/Quantum card. If your card says Fidelity on it, you are just doing free advertising for Fidelity. The rep said I qualified to upgrade to a regular Quantum card (minimum credit line of $10k) and all she needed to do was read over the terms of the account and send me a card. I am in the middle of doing several things right now (i.e. cleaning house, computer stuff, creditnet, etc.) and don't have time to be on the phone right now. GEORGE...what is the APR on your Quantum card? Mine is 11.9%.
