    Hey all...

Been very busy looking for a job lately. It's looking promising...

I called MBNA to see about an increase on my Fidelity Investments Platinum Plus MC. I told them that I needed an extra $5k for a family emergency and that I would pay the money back when I got my taxes. I figure hell....if Macy's falls for the o-key-doke then maybe MBNA will. And they did! I logged on to my account 15 minutes later and the increase was there! Now my limit is $10500. I immediately called back and requested to be upgraded to Quantum....no problem. My new card and list of new benefits will be arriving in 7 to 10 days. I'm currently using this card for BT's which will expire next month. Then it's back to 11.9%. I wonder if they'll lower that? Humm....I'll check on that later.

    George,

My Barnes & Noble Platinum Plus rate(10.99% fixed) is lower than my Quantum Card. Do you believe that?

    I remember that, but can I "DOWN-GRADE" and get 10.99% ???

I have NOT seen any MBNA applications under 11.99%...most are 13.99%...

    George,

Why??? By the way, I converted my Quantum Card into rewards card and they raised my APR from 11.99% to 12.99% APR. I checked with them today and my request is still in processing.

All my QUANTUM gets me is 2.00% lower than I had with PLATINUM PLUS and $30.00 BT FEE NOT $40.00 BT FEE.

I have the rewards quantum card at 10.99% I originally had a platinum plus at 10.99% before I converted over to the quantum rewards. They kept me at 10.99%.

They can't give me that rate and I just converted mine into Quantum Select Rewards Card. I don't think they can lower my rate to 10.99%. Only my Barnes & Nobles Platinum Card only has 10.99% fixed APR.

    George,

I didn't care about the rate of the Quantum Card since I paid it off monthly. I liked the card that give me cash back or bonus rewards by using it. That's why I request to convert my Quantum Card into Quantum Select Rewards Card.

How did you pull this off?

I am at 9.9% and they would not give me the lower APR on a Quantum upgrade.

    MP: Congrats nice increase:)
