Should I call in my 1st dispute with the CRA's and get them to send me the "We have received your request for dispute letter" or CMRRR?
I think I've done disputes every way possible... mail, fax, online, and by phone. I've discovered that I prefer to do them online or by phone because they get entered right away. Fax typically has a 5 day delay and mail seems to be closer to 5 to 10 days. If this is something that you really really want a paper trail on, then mail sent CRRR is best. If you don't need (or want) the paper trail then I'd do it online or by phone. HTH, Brett
IMHO, you always want a paper trail - ya just never know when the CRA's are going to screw up! I have done it online, and printed out the dispute, etc. still creates a papertrail. About the only thing I've ever called on is address disputes.
