I gave out my credit card number on a phone order before I knew there was a no cancellation policy by the merchant. The merchant mailed me a sales draft to sign, and my name was spelled wrong. Does this mean I can dispute the charge as "not mine" or anything else under Fair Credit Billing? Thanks in advance for assistance.
I ordered a sports handicapping service. The selections they gave out turned out to be bad. I tried to cancel and then found out they had a cancellation policy. You had to email them for that information. Other people told me they had similar bad experiences with them on their selections. I don't want to sell out my integrity and say that I did not order but I did order. But their service is not as advertised. Since they made a clerical error, could not I avoid a ripoff by disputing it? Or not a good idea? Thanks.
