I cannot be denied. (it will be another inquiry on my credit file). So I need to make sure of the following: I applied at www.myfico.com and got a TU score of 683. I read here that BOA ONLY pulls from TU. I really need to go thru places who only pull from TU until my Equifax and Experian has added some active history. Right now, FICO couldn't score them because of no history, thanks to Lexington wiping them out completely! Anyway, is 683 good enough to apply for a credit card with BOA? (Bank of America) I got turned down from Target, cause they pulled from Experian and Equifax. I have a checking account with Bank of America, long history with them, but maybe my score won't be good enough. I have to be sure my fico score is good enough before I apply for their credit card. Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated.
683 will probably be good enough to get credit card. If you do get denied write to them via planetfeedback. As far as I know with personal cards they do use tu.
I got denied with about a 650 TU, but when I asked for reconsideration via planet feedback, I got approved. The fact you are a customer has to help. Will depend on your negatives I'm guessing. I'd apply but start working on your pfb letter. They are really good, called me back in 2 days.

Not true. What I have read here, was a pointer to a spreadsheet that someone had saved from "millcbbs.com", or something like that (which no longer exists)... I can't find the post now, but I saved it myself and clearly BoA pulls quite often from Equifax (the breakdown is 23-13-63 for EQ-EX-TU). Yes, they appear to pull more from TU than the others, but not a whole lot more - and my experience is that BoA pulled EQ for me in Iowa, and EX in Florida. OTOH, Chase's breakdown is 2-18-86, and my experience is 3 inquiries from Chase CC over the past year, all TU. I think your better bet is Chase.
