Has anybody got experience with the US bank platinum VISA credit card? I want to get their VISA card because it runs 11.4 to 15.4% interest.

I want to get a good credit card with a low fixed APR and no annual fee with a good company that does not operate out of DE or SD. I don't care about intro. rate or any other perks.

    Any opinions?

DE and SD are short for Delaware and South Dakota. These two states are the most consumer unfriendly sates in the United States of America in terms of what is called usury laws. I am looking for a credit card that is from a bank that operates out of any other sates because I want to get a credit card I can keep.

Um, DE and SD aren't the only states with lender-friendly laws.

ND, UT, IA, AZ are also very pro-lender.

US Bank issues consumer loans out of ND.

I would think hard about settling for a 11-15% rate when there are so many good lenders offering promos of prime only (B of A) for balance xfers to "everyday low rates" of 8.9 (CapitalOne) or 9.9 (Amex Blue, Fleet, Citi, etc.).

Another word of caution - the BK in '97 will be a very hard item to overcome with most lenders. Do some searches here for BK-friendly companies. If you have a very good 'story' - B of A is BK-friendly (you have to write a letter and document your situation after your initial decline). You won't get a great rate, but they will come down over time.

    Good luck,

I've had this Card for about a year, I've never

used it, rate is too high for me & never get any

b/t offers, I've called several times but no special

rates. I just keep it for ratio purposes.

It's too bad, it's a great looking card.
