Has anyone experience using two or more credit cards linked to the same MBNA ShopeSafe account? Today, I had made some online purchases and over the phone using my mastercard. On all the purchases I made I generated a separate shopeSafe number characteristic of a mastercard . (Mastercard numbers generally begins with a 5). Later this afternoon when I access my accounts online, all the purchases that were made were charged to my Visa instead! I was quite shocked because I intend to to stop using the visa and consolidate both credit cards, hopefully by the end of this month. I'm merely waiting for certain bills to clear before closing out the visa entirely and consolidating both credit limits. I Called MBNA to find out what could have happened. Their response was that they were not able to do anything. My only recourse, is to open a separate ShopeSafe account for each credit card to prevent any recurrence. Does this typically happens?
