Hi all I have used a seperate mailing address from my residence for some time. Would it be worth it to change the CR address to my residence and then delete the old address with CRAs? It would probably take 30-60 days. Thanks for any and all help!
I dont know exactly how helpful it would be, but it for sure as heck not hurt you at all.. as you would basically be taking away one of the three ways the CA's an OC's use to validate a account. The other ways being your name and SSN.. from my understand they need at least two of these things to come back before they can validate a account. If the validation process is done correctly that is. It has worked for me in the past.. a old collection account for a medical bill.. was listed to a old address.. i disputed and it came back verified.. I deleted all the old address on the CRA's and then disputed again for another reason.. not the orginal "Not Mine" and it was deleted.. How much of a factor the address played I will never know.. But I know it didnt hurt any..
