Can anyone recommend a good broker who will aggresively help you get a mortgage? My hubbys scores are improved (thanks to this board) but we are still stuck in the mid to high 500's. We have some collections (medical) still unpaid and can pay them off but I am trying the validation thing first. Wanted to try to close within the next 2-3 months, is this possible?

Try to get in touch with "dave" and "catherine" on the motley fools boards, hurry though the boards are going to start charging for viewing on 2/14/2002.

I have two recommendations. One is in Florida, he is who we are going with, VA with 2 year old BK-7. He has beeen the absolute best, and doews business outside FL.

    His website is- www.peopleshomefinance.com

I have had no problems at all, he is the best. He's an independent mortgage broker, so if you call him, you will speak with the right person. His name is Mr. Morcom.

The next one is in Georgia. We almost went with him unil we found the other one in our area.

    His website is www.firstsouthernguarantee.com
He is in Macon, but will work with people all over GA and FL. He is very easy to talk to, and gave me lots of info.

Apparently with the VA, its not credit score driven, its more debt to income ratio, and other ratios. We had no trouble at all, where we were anticipating a big problem.

Either one is great. I first recommend Peoples Home Finance. Hope this helps a bit.
