I have this company that was omly reporting to experian saying I owed them $300 which I have a receipt from the oc sying paid in full.So I sent them a valadation request faxed and by a certified letter.Well they reported it to Equfax today I know this because I have their service and it was not there monday.Can they do this legally?I thought they could not report while in a validation process.Is there anything I can do I faxed the valadation on 6/27/02.Please help...
You need to send them a demand letter advising them they are in violation of the FDCPA for reporting to the cra's after receiving a validation request and that if it is not removed with xx days, you will have no choice but to commence legal action as authorized by the FDCPA.
Can I find an example of this letter on this site.Also when I dispute it to thr cra agencies I need to show proof of everything, right.
