This is what I started adding in my validation letters. " In case you are unsure of what constitutes validation, I am inclosing a copy of a FTC opinion letter. This will save you the time of sending me a computer generated print out." This has been working well, it saves some time and postage by not having to reply to their attempt at validation through computer printouts. Just inclose the Wollman FTC opinion with the validation letter. Candi
Can someone direct me to this opinion letter? I'm about to embark on wifey's credit repair battles and like to use some methods I didn't try during my wars.
sorry I dont have it but if you go to ftc.gov you just look for opinions link. there are a bunch of opinions that come in handy. This one is under the name "Wollman"
Wollman doesn't seem relevant - Imay be missing something. If anybody comes across another letter that does what Candi is talking about please let me know. I like the Candi's idea of saving a step by giving them less room to weasel out and letting them know in a fairly polite way that it ain't our first time in the rodeo! Tom
Candi, Just curious what kind of results have you gotten with this procedure. Have they propely validated?
LKH, I have used it three times now. The first time I got a letter back from Park Dansan CA and they said they had deleted the account with the credit reporting agencys. I checked two weeks latter and it was deleted. The second time I sent the validation letter to Greyshaw and associates. They never responded but promptly deleted it on my reports. The third time was a few days ago so I have not heard back yet. Candi
