First off, I want to say HI. I havent been here in a long time! (was on this site religiously cleaning up credit and have learned SOO much!!). But I have a question that I can't find an answer to. Here goes

My bf got a judgment renewal in the mail. We are in Idaho. Apparently this was renewed in '05. I told him to call the attorney handling the case and find out who the OC was, but not to admit to anything. Just find out who it is.

Apparently its from 1999. Something medical that bf has never heard of. I looked at his reports that i pulled last year and there is nothing of the judgment in '05 or the OC on the report.

The renewal date is for 1/23/10. How would we go about fighting this? Can you validate after a renewal judgment? This is the first he said he's seen of this issue. If something was mailed in '05, he said he didnt receive it (but he's moved around alot in the past).

    Thank you

You need to find out if the person the judgement against was ever served and if the judgement entered was by default.

If you were never served you can generally hire an attorney for $500-$1000 to take care of the matter in your state. Look for attorneys that do collection work or bankruptcies to find the proper expertese.
