Validation letter to OC or CA?

I have a debt that originated almost 10 years ago. I believe it has been 7 years since the 1st missed payment. It is now with a CA (Sherman Aquisition) that is reporting the date as in the past 2-3 years (I assume the date they aquired it). I disputed and demanded validation from the 3 CRA's and can't get it removed. I guess I will need to send another validation letter, but should it go to the current CA or the OC? The debt is from an item purchased from a company that financed through Household Finance.
Which validation letter on this site would you recommend? Also, I have numerous small medical collections on my reports. If my spouse had signed the "responsible party after Insurance payment form" at the time of service, would I be liable under law just because it was my medical insurance?

    Thanks, MAG

    MAG-

    The med collections, I dunno.

On the other item that you have disputed already, keep disputing it. I would try to get a letter from the OC stating the date of last activity (DOLA).

Once you get that letter, attach it to your CRA dispute. Forward a copy of your CRA dispute to the CA. The furnisher (the person with whom the CRA is verifying the trade line) may be held liable under 1681s-2(b) while the CRA may be held liable under 1681i(a)(1), failure to reinvestigate, and 1681i(a)(4), failure to consider documents submitted by consumer. GL with it, keep the thread posted.
