I am being chased by NCO on 2 CC accounts and have made payments to them before becoming aware of my rights. Will the validation letter still be effective in this situation?

I'm a newbie on this forum, looking for some help on settling accounts now with NCO. Prior to learning my rights I settled a Cap1 account thru NCO without a validation letter or settlement letter. Need help!

Yes validation of debt is your right. Paying on it may infer that you truly owe the debt, but you can still validate. Send C&D letters immediatley. Include with the C&D letter (or send separately) a validation letter for each account listed on your reports or being "chased" by NCO for.

Then dispute the account or wait for validation (or lack therof) and send dispute letters to the CRA on each account listed on your report.

Sample letters can be found here. Good Luck
