Last week after checking my reports I see a 4k collection account reported on TU and EQ. This is an old Discover account charged off in 1995. I disputed with the CRA's ...EQ deleted on the spot but Tu verified. I did get a letter from the CA 3 weeks ago but ignored it since it was over the 7 years. I requested validation from the CA after seeing my reports. Today I receive a return letter claiming the debt is valid and they intend to pursue the matter but no validation. My question is since I disputed within the first 30 days and no validation is this considered continued collection efforts by the CA and what should be my next step? Also how do I show this tradeline has been re-aged? Thnx for the help. mark
