I sent a dispute to Northland and got a letter stating that they had sent the account back to Sherman Acquisition. Do I send another dispute to Sherman or does my original dispute to Northland still stand? Also, I sent a dispute to Pinnacle CA and before they got my letter the account was snet to Bonded Collectors, LLC in FLA. Again, does my original dispute still hold or do I need to send a new dispute to Bonded Collector's? Also, I am waiting to dispute with the CRA's because I am not sure about the two situations above. Should I go ahead and dispute with the CRA's? I am concerned that since these have both been sent to different CA's that if I dispute with the CRA's the new CA's will validate. Can they do that? Any advice would be appreciated icon_biggrin.gif Beth
Re: Validation re-assigned Need Hel Any CA who has their hands on the account needs to have a dispute by you. Disputes are especially useful in the first 30 days since they got the account, because then you're envoking your rights under that mini miranda thing. Not that your rights to dispute vanish when those 30 days had passed, but they might look at it a little more seriously. That being said, YES you need to send a new dispute to Sherman and to Bonded Collectors. If the Northland and Pinnacle collection accounts are on your credit report (as of now) then yes, you need to send a dispute to the CRA. Since they've released the accounts, they better not violate by validating. It would be a quick and easy way to get it cleared off, and the new CA might not have anything on your CR yet, so that will give you the ability to keep it off until they validate. Now if they haven't posted it on your credit report, you can't really dispute it. Good luck! ChrisB
