Received response on day 30 from validation letter from CA regarding charged off account saying "unfortunately we have not had sufficient time to obtain from creditor this verification information. Until we receive it......we will cease all collection activities....." To my knowledge, there is no listing of this CA on my CRA accounts. What now.....estoppel letter, and if so....why?
They are following the law which says they do not have to provide validation, but if they don't, they must cease collection. At this point, I wouldn't send anything.
