CA responded to request for validation with forms for a fraud investigation requesting us to fill them out, sign, notorize and return. How should we respond? I am thinking ignore the forms, request validation again, with a cease a desist clause. Any thoughts?

Is that providing you with the information you would need to dispute the debt or any part thereof? I don't think so. Is that proof that you owe the debt? I don't think so. So you demanded validation of the debt which was your right to do and they violated both the law and your rights under the law.
I'd tell them I was going to sue them for violation of FDCPA and my rights and let them figure out how to get out of the mess they created for themselves. I am thinking ignore the forms, request validation again, with a cease a desist clause.[/quote]Cease & Desist isn't going to do you any good. What you need is a good lawyer to take the case on a fee contingency basis but don't ask me where you can find one of them things. Not many good lawyers around when it comes to consumer affairs.
