I have only 2 negative items left on Equifax. One is an old RMA charge off. I sent a validation request to RMA about 3 weeks ago. I haven't heard anything back, but I just checked my Equifax report and noticed that the item is gone!! If an item is marked "in dispute", does it usually disappear temporarily or is this gone for good? Or could it re-appear after validation? I would be so happy if it was gone. The other item can easily be removed as it is past the 7 year limit. Does anyone have any experience with how RMA handles validation? This account is really close to the 7 year period, so perhaps it wasn't worth the effort?
