I sent a CA a validation letter. 2 months later, still heard nothing from them, nor are they reporting to the CRAs. Then I send the estoppel. Then they send computer-printed copies of three statements, they are not even consecutive. What should be my next move? Let me guess, cite the Wollman letter? Should I add anything else or do anything in addition to this?
Well they're not reporting, which is a good thing. Next step would just be an intent to sue, requiring them to send you a letter (ask for hand signed) stating that they will close the matter permanently. It's kind of hard to document violations when they're not reporting. Go ahead and include a copy of the Wollman letter, just like you said. I think they'll take a hint at that point. It seems as though they already realize they're on the short end of the rope, since they're not even reporting this account. Also, send copies of the green cards, make sure they realize you're keeping track of correspondence between yourself and them, so that, if they do decide to report it, you've got'em nailed.
I know this is going to sound dumb--but by not reporting, do you mean not reporting as in dispute? Or not reporting the TL altogether??
