    Hi Everyone,

After sending my final ESTOPPEL letter to ED Funds (School loans) again I received copies of 4 promisary notes but with 2 identical copies of one $2444 note and 2 identical copies of a $7500 note but all with different account numbers written in. In essence all they are showing me is $7500 + $2444 in notes, but they are actually trying to collect $19, 888. (whats wrong with this picture?)

There is even a document Stating CLAIM REJECTION DUE TO ALTERED NOTES (whithin the packet of papers these people sent me) Apparently at some point the gaurantor rejected a pay off claim because the original notes were altered

    CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS????

What would you guys do at this point?.....do any of you know of a good lawyer in Califoria I can actually trust.?

    Thanks so much,
    Sal

I would send this to the dept. of ed. ombudsman. I would be firm but gratious and ask them to look into the situation. This is exactly the kind of situation they exist for- so if they aren't willing to help, you can feel free to sue (can tell the judge honestly that you exhausted all resources available to you).
