12-31 I sent a validation ltr CRRR. I've never received the green card back, however today I received a ltr from the CA in mail (regular mail), that included an invoice from the org. creditor. It is simply a basic itemized statement, with no signature, just my name is computer printed on it w/ address, and get this, someone elses phone number! Now lets see if I have this straight. This is not validating, not by a long shot. So...do I wait until 1-30 send estoppel and not even acknowledge this ltr?

If the letter wasn't sent to you certified mail, then yes I'd send the letter.

I'm not an expert but I think that what they sent you doesn't validate anything...

I have 4 green cards I never got back. What do I do about those? They were sent January 2, 2002.

Take the ORIGINAL receipts to the POST OFFICE and they will do a "DUPLICATE REQUEST OF SERVICE"...it's free.

I believe you're still in the timeframe the post office asks you to wait for the return of the green card, which is 21 days. I'm going to the PO on Tuesday Jan 22, and asking for duplicate service request ( I think this is what its called, if not, someone correct me ). Christi, wait till the 23rd, then go to PO and request this (duplicate service request) and be sure to bring your receipt with you.

Just my $0.03, I've been using the signature confirmation combined with priority mail and it works like a charm!

It can be easy for the postal worker to miss the green card if it's on the back of a #10 envelope. In fact, I've had a letter or two arrive in my mailbox at home with the green card neatly attached to the back!

The combination of the red, white & blue priority envelope with the dayglo pink signature confirmation barcode on the *front* of the envelope right next to the adressee stands out very nicely. Sure it costs a little more, BUT it's nice because the confirmation signature is avaiable via faxback from the post office. :)

PS This came in handy when some bozos tried to deny recepit of my $100 mail in rebate materials. heh heh I made them overnight the check lest they face a small claims suit and charges from the DA's consumer division :)

Can you combine signature confirmation with delivery confirmation? Or is combining unnecessary?

Yes, you can but you can only use them with priority mail or parcel post.

I dont' have a receipt because I sent them out via www.usps.com. I have the printout showing the date it was printed, would that work?

If you did it online, and that's all it gave you to print out, then yes it should be all you need. Just take it to the post office on Tuesday.

I sent out my validation CRRR on January 2nd, and the collection agency received it on January 7th. I didn't receive the green card until around Thursday of last week, so don't give up hope!!
