Hi, Just wanna make a survey.. You send in request for validation letter to CA, they send back a computer print out, 1)What did you do next? 2)What happen & what was the result? 3) How long did it take?
Send the estoppel letter, attach the FTC opinion letter WOLLMAN, the FTC opinion ltr CASS (if applicable) and copies of green card/signature confirmation showing the CA I'm tracking them. Results varied. Sometimes it took one more letter (intent to sue) and/or combination of disputing tradeline with CRA(s). In the end, every CA I was dealing with folded and either sent me a letter saying they are closing the account (and have not heard a word since, BTW), or have sent a UDF to the CRA's informing them to delete. On average 1-3 months (per account).
I've use various approaches: 1) telephone dispute with CRA. 2) validation to CA. 3) online complaints to BBB, FTC and State's AG. 4) small claims lawsuit - COMING SOON to a court near me! Here are the results I have received in the last week. http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&pgnum=1&postid=210535#post210535
