Quick question - Somewhere I had read that the response time for requesting validation does not have to be within 30 days...is that true? I have not responded in 30 days - and I'm thinking I should still send the letter. If I remember correctly it is still better to send a letter demanding validation than to not respond at all...
thanks in advance for any advice :)

    * Some debt collectors will try to tell you that you lose your right to dispute if you don't do so within 30 days. That is never true. You can always demand validation.

    * Yes, it is still better to send a letter demanding validation than to not respond at all.
