    Can anybody tell me any creditors that you know of that require you to verify the 3 digit verification code in the signature panel in order to change your address on your credit account?

    DISCOVERCARD asked it for a BT...
    AMEX BLUE asked for it (4 #'s on front)...EVEN THOUGH THEY GAVE ME NOTHING!!!

    There are too many other questions that they can ask...if you are asked for that # and don't have the card with you...they can ask some other question...

    If it's an older card...you might NOT be able to read it anyway...

    It's a way to prove that you have the card in your possession. Prevents fraud (to some extent).
