Okay, so I got one of those Debt Zombie letters from Portfolio Recovery Services: I requested verification by means of a standard letter, some issues:

They were asked for the date of delinquency on the account; they just put "N/A"

In fact all they did indicate was the date they purchased the account from NCO and the
First few letters of the original creditor.

but prompted that I needed to pay up quick as interest was accruing.

I am assuming they are unable to verify the debt at all. Where do I go from here? Awhile back there was a thread on this company and the flurry of Zombie Debt letters, Do I just send them one of those, denying the debt entirely...Hell, honestly I donâ??t know if this debt is even real!

I assume you sent a CMRRR letter to them?

To send you the date they allege they purchased a debt is not validation of the debt. I highly recommend Butch's "What is Validation" thread on Creditnet here.
