There is an account showing on my CR's that I didn't open. The account# has my SSN so someone opened the account without my knowledge. What is the correct procedure for getting this account removed?
Do a search on " 'Original Creditor Validation' ". Lizardking gives an excellent verification letter, id theft letter for that. You also might want to check your other reports, file a police report and put a fraud alert on your credit report so that someone is not opening accounts in your name. humblemarc
