I am working on a bad debt/ charge off from Verizon Wireless on my wife's credit report. It comes on all 3. She received 2 letters from collectors (North Shore Agency, and OSI last year but no entries on her CR from them) They only have our mail drop address. The debt in question is from some kind of strange disconnect fee that the rep assured us to not worry about. Either way its only $150 and I would gladly pay to get this off the CR. I already tried a standard "not mine" dispute that failed across the board. My next intent is to attempt to settle full amount for deletion. My questions are: What is the best contact address for Verizon WIRELESS? Is there a phone number contact or person I can call who is able to negotiate this deal? Anyone with Verizon tips? Of course I will get everything in writing BEFORE I transfer any money to them. Thanks in advance! Mook
Hey Mook, This is the info I got on Verizon: Verizon Wireless 250 James Street Morristown, NJ 07960 Ph #- (800) 922-0204 (800) 822-2302 This was listed on my EX report, so hopefully it will bring you luck. I am sending them a val debt letter tomorrow. I owe them $825.00 since 9/96, according to EX... I will keep you posted. UNLV34
Hey Mook, How did everything go with Verizon Wireless? I am about to send them a settlement letter to hopefully get rid of the tradeline (unpaid CO, opened 09/96, comming off all 3 on 04/2004). I have the addy, do you have a contact person (hopefully in the executive offices) I can reference with my letter? Hope any other "credit wars" are successful for you and your family ... UNLV34
Hey guys, My wife called the Jamestown # for verizon, explained our situation to the rep and got a call back a few days later. They told us they would remove the charge-off from all 3 reports. no arguements or hassle. It took about 3 months before it came off though, but its gone so who cares!! Sorry, Didnt remember the reps name. My situation was basically them trying to extort extra money from us for a disconnect fee. The only thing left now is a few sallie mae lates!
