I just received a letter from Verizon Wireless and this is what it says:

    Dear Mr. Imhosed:

Please accept this letter as a confirmation that your remaining balance on account # XXXXXX has been paid. The balance is zero and you don't owe anything further on this account. The account is been closed per your request.

Thank you for your cooperation in resolving this matter. If you have any questions or concerns contact our Customer Financial Services Department for assistance at 1-800-822-2302.

    sincerely

Is this a good enough letter to send to the credit bureau to get a PAID COLLECTION notation taken off my account? Please help. Thanks.

I would have verizon request the correction ...
call the verizon 800 number or better yet put a request in writing to verizon with their letter attached.

I would hate to give any paperwork to the actual credit bureau's. Just my paranoid way.

hey thanks, that was my feeling about sending the letter to the bureau. Two of them have deleted it but equifax is reporting it as a "paid collection". any other way to try to get them to take it off or change the wording?
